About the Business Unit

AGI (Architecture and Group Initiatives) owns cutting-edge Enterprise CMS platforms powering digital newsrooms across Times Internet. The team builds scalable, AI-enabled authoring and analytics tools designed to handle millions of requests per minute—making AGI a center of innovation for the digital media ecosystem.

About the Role

As a Data Engineer, you will help design and scale our analytics infrastructure, turning complex data into actionable insights. Collaborating closely with Product and Engineering teams, you’ll build high-performance platforms to support data-driven decisions and continuous business innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate cross-functionally to translate business and technical requirements into scalable data platform specifications
• Design, develop, and maintain robust, high-performance data infrastructure for advanced analytics
• Drive innovation by contributing to the analytics roadmap and iterating on key data-driven initiatives
• Partner with Product Managers, DevOps, and Engineers in an agile environment to deploy solutions
• Tackle complex data challenges with curiosity, creativity, and a commitment to continuous improvement

Skills, Experience & Expertise

• Proficiency in SQL or similar languages and comfort working with large datasets
• Strong skills in Python for statistical analysis and data transformation
• Experience with analytics tools and data visualization platforms
• Excellent communication skills to share insights effectively
• Ability to work independently in a matrixed, agile environment

Eligibility

• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities, especially in hypothesis-driven exploration
• Experience building data pipelines or platforms for data-driven products and analytics
• Proven ability to derive actionable insights from structured and unstructured data
• Self-starter with a collaborative mindset and strong ownership of deliverables
